Immunization of DBA/2 mice with CD40L-activated DCs loaded with
the P1A peptide induces protection from a lethal challenge with
P815 tumor cells. Mice injected s.c. on days -21 and -7 with
3 x 105 P1A peptide-loaded DCs previously cocultured
with CD40L-transfected 3T3 cells (19 animals) or with untransfected
3T3 cells (15 animals), were challenged with an i.p. injection
of 4 x 105 P815 tumor cells on day 0. Normal mice injected
with this lethal challenge of P815 tumor cells were used as controls
(Nihil; 16 animals). The data shown are the cumulative survival
results obtained from 3 independent experiments. Survival is reported
as the percentage of surviving animals.
